Check that this method fits your task
An editable briefing template. It does not provide an approved risk assessment, mandatory training or evidence that a talk was actually delivered.
Choose your inputs and work through the steps
- Choose one actual work topic and the current site procedure. Describe what people will do and the conditions they face today.
- Replace generic hazard lists with relevant hazards and reviewed controls. Add questions that let the team point out changes or gaps.
- Review the preview, export the draft, hold the discussion and record real attendance. Assign each follow-up action an owner and due date.
Describe the task, discuss relevant hazards and controls, check understanding, and record actions and actual attendance.
A fictional briefing example
Illustrative values explain the tool; they are not prescribed inputs for your work.
- Fictional topic: keeping Warehouse A pedestrian routes clear.
- Discuss packaging and spill reporting using the current site procedure; ask which routes are obstructed today.
- Example follow-up: supervisor inspects the marked route before work starts. Confirm names and dates at the real briefing.
Read the result and decide what needs checking
Keep the final briefing record with the applicable site documents. Update the talk when the work or conditions change rather than reusing an old sheet without review.
A signature is not a substitute for understanding. Ask the team to explain the control or reporting route in their own words and follow up on unanswered questions.
Common questions
Does the document prove attendance?
No. Record acknowledgement at the actual talk. A pre-entered name is not evidence of attendance.
Will the browser save my draft automatically?
No. Download or print before leaving the page.
Can I use the filled example unchanged?
No. It is fictional; replace its task, conditions, procedures and actions with reviewed site-specific information.
